I've done nature, animals, the sun/moon...and lots of horses, a "Lonely Street" and some for my friends... So yea, if you have any ideas!

The best poetry comes from a person when the person lets the poem come them--let it lead you outside the light of the campfire, the safety zone, and kiss you on the lips; and in turn you take it by the hand and lead it, craft it, by laying it down on the page. It can be on any subject or feeling that arises in you; ideas for poems are only limited by your fear to go and meet the poem, or negelect to see it, when it comes. Gary Snyder (if you've never read Snyder check him out) once wrote in his poem "How Poetry Comes to Me:" It comes blundering over the / Boulders at night, it stays / Frightened outside the / Range of my campfire / I go to / meet it at the / Edge of the light

--Hope this helps--

Tips:
Try just doing random poetry about random things. An idea will come somewhere!
Try doing different types of poetry on stuff you have already written. If you did a rhyming poem on horses, try Haiku or something.
Look at random things in your house and write poems about those.
Write poems about what you are feeling at the moment. If sad, a sad poem, happy, excited, etc.

Happy writting! Hope you find ideas somewhere!!!
:)

Just walk down the street, or watch a TV show, or whatever. Have a pad of paper handy. Write down whatever strikes you.

Several years ago I read a quote - I forget the source - that poets "have been strangely silent on the subject of cheese." Maybe some cheese poetry? That would put you on the good side of most anybody in Wisconsin. :D

Here's what I've started doing recently...

If you're in school still, keep a poetry journal about all of your classmates. Write a poem about each of them and what their special quality is. For example, write about the girl who sits behind you, or the boy who spits when he talks.

Maybe you should write about fantasy creatures. Invent an epic poem, telling the story (in poetry form) of an imaginary character.

I hope I helped you out! Good luck!

"It is not a real friend those who helps you, but those who do not bother you". Those who helps often do it to have power on you or to shame on you or to bother you...
