doesnt it make you mad when people are like, if this and this happens, i am going to be emo. my god you cant just all of a sudden be emo. it takes a long time. its not just a state of being. its a state of mind. emo is not cool. i am emo. god things like that just piss me off.

you are so right...my friend is emo and it took a long time for her to trust me and now that we r inseprable I know the pain she is going through and everything in her world that has made her like this and it is so sad, and it not only pisses her off when I see people like that but it also pisses me off!

Me too. You don't evolve to being someone totally different in one day. It may take months, years. Sometimes, these are people who are already emo and they have not came out to their friends yat, or aren't fully comfortable with their true label yet. When I was not sure if I was emo or not, I totally brushed it off. 'I Can't be emo" was a common thought. Then I figured I was just kidding myself. However, over night you can become a slut. Emo, is, however, something you have to be, otherwise you will be a poseur, and be hated by the true emos. I hate people who 'cover up' their true selves, or try to be someone so they can be 'cool'.
