Not yet. we are payint $2.15 for regular here in OK.
Brace yourself for a big surge in prices though. The Democrats are going to tax the oil companies and take away their tax breaks. When Jimmie Carter did this it created gas shortages and prices skyrocketed. There are no people so foolish as those who repeat dumb mistakes...

the genuine fee of gas is so a lot more desirable that the $4+ we pay on the pump. The tax subsidies provided through the U. S. Governments to the oil businesses keep gas expenditures low on the pump and our taxes severe. I study a piece of writing which stated that a gallon of gas became actual nicely worth someplace between $5 and $15 when we were basically paying $a million on the pump a decade in the past. Oil, as Dennis stated above, is a Globally traded commodity and could basically advance in cost because the international call for surges. that's unavoidable as we see further and further international places in Asia getting wealthier. luckily for Indians and chinese, the authorities subsidies keep gas expenditures low (and their gas intake severe). yet this received't be an option interior the U. S. because it would bring about an advance in taxes. besides the actual undeniable truth that countless hypothesis is equipped into todays oil cost, the bubble has to burst faster or later. yet i believe the severe cost of oil is right here to stay and could be interior the $80 to $one hundred variety for the subsequent few years. Even at $10, we are able to nonetheless manage to have the funds for it with some severe cutbacks in our way of existence. this may bring about decrease client spending and therefore would decrease our GDP. the only way our authorities can help is to really shrink the dependence on oil interior the longer time period through making an investment in classes alongside with promoting rising technologies, coming up larger performance vehicles etc. that's going to take years for the straightforward guy to comprehend those reward. yet a minimum of we would have moved out of our modern-day oil sort.

Soon it may be and for some it already has. But do you ever notice those big Suburbans hardly ever have more than 3 people in them? Those are the people driving up the prices and the demand for gas. Our lawmakers are all puppets of the oil companies( Dems too!) and have wasted American Taxpayer Dollars on their little pork barrel goodies while they could have been more wisely spent on R&D of alternative energy sorces. Instead we're securing the Middle East for Exxon so they'll have the means to scalp us LONGER at the gas pump. come on JC.

Dude, in California premium is already back at 3 $ a gallon. Until we as consumers revolt against the oil companies, nothing will happen. But therein lies the problem, people just don't care, and they have to drive to make a living. So they( we) will continue to pay it.

$2 for gas is reasonable. Over $3 was starting to be a pinch.
What can we do anyway? It is a worldwide commodity.

It's going to get even more expensive. When they take away big oils subsides, the oil companies won't take that loss. Just like any other company, there going to pass that bill along to us.
