Make sure you haven't disabled the ability to change your default home page. Programs like 'Spyware Blaster' for example, have a function that stops Homepage hijacking but can also disable the ability for a user to do the same. As long as that's okay all you need do is type in the URL of the page you want as your home page in the address bar and apply it as default in Internet options.

If you are using Yahoo Mail:

Go to the page you want for home.
click Tools
Internet Options
the URL of the page you called up is displayed
click "use current."

Under tools - internet options - the first tab at the top - you can type in whatever page you want (yahoo) or if you're on Yahoo and go into the tools tab you can hit the button that says "use current page".

it is best to go to the actual site you want as your home page and then go tools, internet options, and use current.
