Go to another irish dance class and see if it is the instructor. Get a dvd of irish dance and practice at home because you can pause it and go over it as many times as you like. It may take a while to condition your body to that way of moving but if you persevere you will get it.

When you're just starting you shouldn't be "following the instructor" anyehere. You should be learning on the spot. It sounds to me like the class isn't designed for beginners. Try another school

The teacher actually said that to you? That's awful, i'm sorry...if u like it still, stick with it and practice...have you ever thought of a different type of dance or a different activity to take up if you decide that you don't want to do it?

most of things can be learned but you have to condition your mind. If you are determined to learn then learning is determined to you. Do not think YOU CAN"T think that YOU CAN.
