Listen, the Bears would either play Seattle, Dallas or the NY Giants in the Second Round. Seattle got crushed already and they didnt get much better in fact they got worse since when we played them. The NY Giants were beat by us already on their turf. And they got even more injuries. Dallas has had problems in their secondary and Romo's skills are falling down. Then the NFC Championship Game. You would either get one of those teams or Philadelphia or New Orleans. If they face Philadelphia we could see good Rex come out and face it, Garcia hasnt faced a good defense yet. So we have a good shot. New Orleans, they have a great offense but wheres that defense. Rex can be a gun slinger since they give out the most big plays. Now that offense will face a Bears defense that is one of the best. The Bears would have Peanut Tillman back and a more fresher Nathan Vasher. We have a great chance and our biggest fear should be Philadelphia but we can still beat them. Hope this brought your hopes up. Im a Bears fan so I follow the teams possibilities alot.

If the playoffs had been held at mid season I would have said yes, they had a great shot at reaching and even winning the super bowl. However since then I've seen a number of holes in the defense plus Rex Grossman has shown his mortality. I'd almost put him in the same category as Eli Manning. You know, one of those young QB's who came into the league with a lot of media hype and great expectations. (I sound like Charles Dickens). Anyway, the pressure of the NFL plays funny tricks on some people and these two QB's have had their moments to be sure.
With that said I'm looking at a very hot Philadelphia Eagles team with a defense that remind me of a pack of wolves. They have reached their stride at the right moment. The offense believes in Jeff Garcia and they too are playing well.
Right now, and call it wishful thinking, but I think the NFC just might be represented by those Philly cheese stakes! Of course in the AFC how can you not look at the Chargers and bet against them? They are on fire.

I am a die hard Bears Fan, since the days of George Halas, Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers. I would never admit that the Bears will not go all the way.....
But hey if you promise not tell anyone, I don't think they can get there with Rex Grossman, however Griese does have the ability to take them through the playoffs. Da Bears are and always have been a Defensive Team.
So Yes, they can make it to the Superbowl, but win I don't think so.

Because they only watched the games where Grossman did well, and not the ones where he threw the ball to everyone not in a Bears jersey... Expect him to throw interceptions like Gannon did when the Bucs stomped the Raiders a few SB's ago... That was the worst superbowl performace by a QB ever...

Bears fans have always been that way when they've had a great team. There's a great chance of them going, but like the first guy said, it's really all about Grossman's performance - "Good Rex" will get them there, but "Bad Rex" will literally throw the game away.
My prediction, FWIW: San Diego 39, New Orleans 36 (OT).

I am looking at a New orleans-Sandiego matchup in the Super bowl. It should be a very offensive game giving Bush and Tomlinson the spotlight. Looking at Brees though to take the Saints to the victory with Bush catching 2 touchdown passes

Any NFC team that makes the SB will be crushed. They should make the AFC Championship game the Super Bowl, because the NFC is not worthy of the AFC.

If Grossman gets hot like he was earlier in the season, they can. I think they should of benched him 5 weeks ago and had Griese in there so he could of got into a rhythm BEFORE the play- offs started.I'm afraid he may be too rusty now,so we're stuck with Rex.

Because the Nfc is weak the bears have a dominating defense and when Grossman doesnt mess up their offense can score well

they think that because they have a "good record" and a dominating defense that is overated. i think the Cowboys and Chargers are going to play in the SuperBowl. The cowboys offense kills the bears defense and the bears offense is not better than Cowboys defesnse. but i think chargers are going to win the SuperBowl because of Tomilson
