I've seen teepees, where was the outhouse teepee?

Just curious, where did they go to the bathroom?

Incredible, ha ha what a question, but I will try to explain. A question was asked about the Pueblo and the Navajo, this is funny, Pueblo lived in stucco built houses and the teepee dwellers were a little different. They would travel to warm when it was cold and basically follow the buffalo herds. They did not have a teepee designated for a bathroom. However they were very clever, Spices were used for smell reasons, like sage, and they would bury their waste as well being the best ecologists. They would not pee on trees nor any living plant that was edible. Only in areas where their was just grass and dirt and or sand. They always diguised the smells with herbs, and powders made from herbs. This is to avoid being tracked by enemies and or animal life. Woman would just squat in a place of privacy like the bushes, right outside the camp or behind their teepees. Men however were a little more adventurous they had no tv and beer to sit home all the time.

Well, it may be a bit dusty when I return but I cleaned it very well before I left! I cleaned my daughters home today except the floors. I sent them out on a date and just the grand kids and my son stayed here with hubby and we played and watched a movie but I got it all cleaned up after they passed out :) You deserved to have fun after all the time in the corn field the toys will be fine time with your cubs and your beautiful Squaw cannot be replaced enjoy it Chief

They didn't invent an out house, they just dug holes in the ground. Nevertheless, there always seemed to be plenty of T.P.
