I was told yesterday that my unborn baby had died as there was no heartbeat detected at 7 weeks. They seem to think that i am supposed to be 11 weeks due to the date of my last menstrual period. However, my periods have been erratic for months and I have changed countries twice this year, so my cycle is also disrupted due to jetlag. (they were 22 hour flights)
I only got my first pregnancy symptoms 2-3 weeks ago (nausea and sore and growing breasts) - the nausea has stopped but my breasts still feel sore and are still enlarged.
Could they be wrong about this, or am I wrong to get my hopes up. Should I wait to have a miscarriage or just go ahead with the D and C? Thank you..

WAIT A FEW DAYS...tell you doctor ASAP that you want him/her to do a blood test and check your HCG level. Go back tomorrow and have another one and compare the level. If its lower you have more than likely miscarried but if its higher or the same, chances are you haven't. I am appalled they are not doing this anyway! You should never have to be in your situation. I have had 6 miscarriages and have 3 healthy children as well. My last son they told me was not developing at the usually rate and recommended a D+C at 9 weeks. I could see the faint heartbeat on the monitor and decided against it. He was 2 weeks over due in the end so I thank my stars everyday. Please do that before the D+C and also find a new doctor who you feel you can trust 100%... My thoughts are with you. Best Wishes and I really hope your baby is fine....

While theres a chance they could be wrong make sure you get folloow up care. I read somtiems the fetus can die and wont expell on its own, and then you need to get a D&C to have it removed. I can't remember waht is called but mabye its a "missed misscarige" Or something. Get that book " what to expect while your expciting " it has information about all of this. maybe you coudl wait a lil longer and try to get a heart beat. I had a heart beat on Ultra sound at 6 weeks and 4 days. good luck. im really sorry if it is. It isnt your fault and it is very common. the Book said 1 out of every 4 women will expeirnce a miscarriage at some time in her life, and its not anythhing wrong with the mother it is just that something is wrong with the fetus and its natures way of ending an unhealthy pregnancy. good luck i hope i helped and dont worry take care!!

They could be wrong with the date that you conceived. I am the same way with my cycle where it is erratic. At 7 weeks they cant hear a the babies heart beat. You usually cant hear the heart beat until you are about 8 weeks or more. I would just give it time. I think that the docs are off. You would know if you had a miscarriage and you were 11 weeks. If you haven't had any bleeding since you found out you were pregnant I wouldn't worry about it to much. You can always go to another doc and see what they say. They can test your HCG levels and tell what is going on. Good luck

I think if it was urgent you have a D&C your doc would tell you. I would wait another 2 weeks, and get another ultrasound just incase the weeks are off. They can usually tell with blood work and such how far along you are, but i wouldnt get a procedure done if I wanst 100% sure. Worse case scenerio you miscarry within the 2 weeks, but for now, I would wait, unless doc says other wise. Good luck, hope everything works out okay.

The Doctores could be wrong. Did they do an ultra sound? I would want one of those and get a second opinion. I would wait to have a miscarriage. There are a lot of side effects to D&C. I wish you the best of luck in these hard time. Prayers are with you.

I would get a second opinion because if you go through with a d & C you will always wander if your baby was really dead good luck I hope the dates are wrong
