There are two issues : Sadam and Hanging.
what sadam did to his people and the Kurds is despicable, undoubtably, but then again he was funded at the time by the US!
Hanging is dispicable ... no matter what crime someone is said to commit. Capital punishment is to be deplored, no man has the right to terminate the life of another. Should someone commit such a henious crime, let them live 'til they die in prison.
The hanging of Sadam, will have a huge impact on the World, because it proves that people (dictators) will not get away with it, but on the other-hand, it proves to the world how uncivilised the "modern" powers are. The Americans and europeans can now no longer plead for clemancy with other nations when their own citizens are threatened with execution in which ever country they may be in. Thats when the real backlash will begin.

Hanging a convicted killer is having a bad effect on the world?
3000 young men fighting in Iraq and dieing by horrible brutal murders isn't? Are you crazy man?
they didn't get a trial, a court, a nice humane death that was real kind. Instead of wrapping his neck in towels they get their head sawed off.

That was regrettable wrt to the kids but he needed hanging though perhaps hung drawn and quartered would have been better after all the ppl he slaughtered and executed.

Saddam was already hanged. So whoever wants to die for killing Saddam, they also deserved to die.

For his crimes, he deserved to go, but i doubt it will have major impact, except in his region.
The taunting of him on the gallows was not necessary. those that filmed it, should be punished.
