I got duped by a woman at work that was skimming funds off of some money that I had loaned to another co-worker. She turned out to be a tweaker that had also duped other people, including our general manager. The sad part was that she is a single mother to three children and they got put in to the middle of all her cons. Now, I trust no one!

Yes. It's embarrassing and costly. If it's through the mail interstate, or a large amount of money you might be able to do something. The cops around here will take a report, but if it's less than $1000 they don't have the time to mess with it. Good luck.

Yes, my fist time in Hawaii in 1966, I was scammed into buying magazine subscription. They never showed up. Out $10.
Got conned into buying a camping membership. Never used it. Paid the initial fee and never paid "annual fees". Took a lawyer to get me out of it. Contract was vague as to when fees had to be paid in order to use the membership. It just said that the fee for that year had to be paid in order to use the membership. Nothing about PRIOR years.

Everyone has been conned at some point. Unfortunately, it happens to some people so often that they develop a mistrust of everyone and deny themselves the opportunity to enjoy positive relationships with their fellow human beings.

I once bought ink at ezinkjets.com, it's a scam,they never spent the product or refunded my money.I turned them in the BBB
