my friend is phillipino and she says she doesn't look phillipino just cause she has chinese eyes.

What the hell are "Chinese" eyes?
I guess there could be a similarity because people tell me that I look Filipino when I'm actually Chinese...but then again people also tell me that I look Thai or half white and half Chinese or something.

No, not normally. Phillipinos look Malaysian, and much darker than Chinese...which is what they are. Some, VERY VERY few have Spanish blood and might look like a mixed race latino. Another small minority have Chinese blood. The Chinese were present in the Phillipines even during Spanish colonial rule, though the Spanish expelled them a few times.

They don't look exactly like Chinese people. My roommate is phillipino and I'm starting to slowly see the difference. :)

As an Arab person, I often mistaken Phillipino people as Asian, sometimes Chinese (to tell the truth, I cannot tell the difference between Oriental people..no offense to anybody).

Filipino's do not look Chinese they look like Filipino's my x husband was a flip and my x boyfriend was and my 2 boys are also and they all look like flips nothing else. They have different eyes than any other Asian. maybe your friend has some Chinese heritage somewhere. The most distinguishing feature of a flip is the nose.

yes..... they look alike if you don't stare and stare at the two...like just in regular life...i think they really do!!!! ...but if you are a phillipino then you mostlikly think you look chinese!!

No - that's a good question - they don't - why is that? It must be due to a cross between Indonesian cultures and the Japanese. Japanese definately don't look Chinese either.
