What do they mean when they say like a shoe or something is someone's signature model?

(take it from a girl) it means that thats wat people know the person by for example, paris hiltons 'signiature' catch phrase is 'thats hot' its like their trademark

like how signature is someones name the way they write it that people know the person by but a shoe, handbag, etc that they no the person by

I guess it means that every time a person sees that object, they think of that person. I'm not sure. But who knows.
