I've taken 2 pregnancy tests...and both came back negative...my period is late....but i do have brown discharge..what could this mean?

It is old blood. It could just be a natural blip in your cycle. Also, if you are spending a lot of time around other women, their hormonal cycles can affect yours.

Could be a number of things. However, for myself I experienced that, while taking the pill and people told me up and down it was in my head...
Turns out I had a non-viable pregnancy that did not detach (complete miscarriage) but did not progress enough to turn a pee test positive. Luckily after bitching about it enough ONE doctor sent me for a blood test and found the problem and got me in for a D&C before I got an infection or other complications from dead tissue hanging out in my uterus.
I hope for you its just an irregular period.
However, on the off chance, go to a doctor and ask for a full set of blood tests everything from pregnancy to infection to STD's. Really, better safe then sorry.

Brown would suggest that there was a bleed higher up the chain. It is common to skip a period. If concerned get a pap-smear done.

This can happen, it's pretty normal along with periods I think
