I am waiting for Godot.... What is God by the way?

2007-01-06 14:11:30 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 2 0

And what verision of god would you like! The catholic one? The Morman one? The Protestant one? The Johova wittness one? The Jewish one? The Muslim one ECT! While god may not be a democrat, a democrat ends up preventing only one religion from ruling! If your a Bible thumper then you would know that there is a part in the bible which refers to all christianity as parts of the whole body of god. Which part do you want to succeed the hand, the head, the feet? IT's because I want to worship as I please, not as my government pleases that I am a democrat! Yes in order to grantee that I can worship the christian religion I want then I will be a democrat!!

Both ! "GOD" is a real Democrat because GOD doesn't discriminate. You know there is no place for discrimination in democracy & as we (mostly all of us on the earth) discreminate we are not follwing democracy but fulling each other and thereby losing real enjoiment in life.

There is always a GOD a supreme being... whether it is a celestial eternal being that has the power to control all that exists

or

whether it is a human being on this earth with the power and authority to exercise his will over the world as he pleases....

Do not fool yourself my friend... There are people in this country who are deciding elections by their control of the media and the funds that surround the elections and control who your are exposed to during election seasons... these people use your fear of losing your ability to be gainfully employeed, your health, welfare, safety, all kinds of issues to influence your "decisions" in a democracy

These people are the power elite.... The influence they possess over the many aspects of the worlds economy in various parts of the world afford them power to rule others on this planet

So... if I had to choose between an omnipotent being that can control all of creation and afford me a glorious after life

or

another man on this planet who had that type of power and influence to control my life and choices whether I like it or not and there are no rewards of any for my cooperation or obedience than to be satisfied with what i can get then

i choose God
what other choice is there
you serve God or Man
one or the other ..... and that is the Truth

I want a Christian dictatorship, Head by Jesus Christ himself. Because he is righteous he will not harm the citizens. And because it is a dictatorship with one true ruler it is efficient.
Note: The Nazi dictatorship was unable to be efficient because power was never truly concentrated in one person but rather in several competing despots which all harbored dreams of supplanting the power of their rivals. Hitler used these competing factions as a de facto separation of powers which all revolved around him self thus making himself the king pin. (See: Huge-Trevor Roper's "The last days of Hitler" for a more in-depth study)
With Jesus Christ his power base is his own strength and those that follow him (the saints) have no power of their own and after they are made knew by the power of God they shall be perfect and thus not carnal and thus they will not have a desire to rule over that they are not capable of ruling over.
The problem with dictatorship is that the dictators are men and Lord Acton's famous line holds true. (Power corrupts absolutely and absolute power corrupts) The problem with dictatorship is not that people don't have a right to have their say in the government this idea is asinine anyway butt we were raised with it so we think it’s correct. If you have a perfect individual his power to rule can not be enhanced by a majority of perfect individuals. However, if that perfect man has a democracy with two other imperfect men than the power to do right is diminished. The idea that we have a right to anything is a man made right which has its foundation in the opinions of man himself who is flawed and imperfect. This idea might work well as a practical model which works for us at this time but that doesn’t mean that it is a universal truth, it is not.
Jesus Christ's reign will begin when he comes again (He will come again.) and not when men say that this or that government is of God. And no God is no Republican-read the bible (He seems to be very conservative social and would hardly be a fan of Ayn Rand or the capitalism that brought famine to Ireland in the mid 1800's.)
Until Jesus Christ comes however, I think I'll stick with our Representative Democracy and the constitution but I will never worship these imperfect man made thing as the work of God.
I hope you will be found worthy of Him when He Comes.
(Ask a Christian about being born again.)

I want democracy, which includes the fact that the majority in this country (USA) are Christians, and they should be allowed to make any state law which they want to make so long as it does not violate a constitutional guarantee.

God is religion and Democracy is politics. We are all entitled to take or leave both. What's important though is to learn to distinguish between the two.... and pass it on. We might all move forward then.

Actually a democracy will flourish when Gods commandments are observed----it is when God is forced out that a democracy will crumble.-----Jesus and Abe Lincoln both made statements in reference to this principle.
