While it is true that CNAs have to do the hardest, most taxing work, cleaning up BMs and changing Chux pads, CNAs are the very heart of any hospital or nursing home's success. You do the dirtiest of jobs and work like dogs. Meaningful and very respectful!

You have my undiluted praise for your caring enough to do this work with a smile on your face, while trying to wipe the sweat from your brow. I know.

It is NOT degrading unless you actually feel degraded. This work is not for everyone--myself included. Yes I'm a CNA and have worked in a hospital and a nursing home and I am also one not suited to this work.

Degrading and meaningless? Absolutely not! Do you get enough respect--absolutely NOT.
