Tell me about your first jobs and if you liked them. And why or why not you liked the job. Any opinions and information about good first jobs (or bad ones, so I can avoid them) is appreciated.

Thanks!

i bagged groceries. it was horrible. i was the only female bagger and my boss was female. all of the guys flirted with her and she did not make them do anything. i got stuck doing all of the work, so i quit. i then got a job at the zoo and that was a lot of fun.

my first job was when i was 16 i worked at subway. Yeah i like it. The people i worked with were totally cool. It was easy too not too much work. and the hours were great. Good first jobs would be somthing like the mall or clothes or fast food. They teach you resposability because you deal with money people and you have too be on time for something or you get fired. so try to pick somehting that your good at.

My first job was working at a bookstore when I was 16. It wasn't anything great, but it was good for the extra cash during high school.
At the time, all I saw it as was a job.

Pumping gas at my Uncle's gas station. I had a love of cars and this fed that interest. I later pursued a career in automotive racing.

If possible, find something that feeds your inner desires and likes. Sometimes that means taking a crappy job while you continue to pursue your dream job.

Sales Associate foe Polo Jeans CO. It sucked. Business was always slow, I had to do the same thing over and over. Also management wasn't always very effective. I didn't get along or agree with all of management either.

1st one ever was at a retirement home. I helped do data entry and serve lunches and stuff. It was a very long summer and old people are senile but I don't regret doing it. It was an interesting experience and I got to here a lot of cool stories.

I worked at a Self Service Gas station and it was okay... you don't have to do much but take money and stock some products. It is a good start!

After taking years of auto shop classes in high school, I worked at an automatic transmission shop. I f***ing hated it. I am now an electrician professionally and a great backyard mechanic!
