It isnt right to close your eyes to pain and reality.. you should be open and ready to choose to do whats best for both of you... so what if you'll be divorced? at least you know you're not to be blamed...

There are men who are victimized by women, and do not wish to suffer through the embarrassment of couples counseling, therapy, and divorce if necessary. They are fearful that no one else will want them. Perhaps wifey has been putting a man like that down to control him. Any man who gets that treatment must realize there are lots of good eligible fish in the sea. Happened to me too. I was shocked at tall the gals who liked me and wanted to date me.

Aroiund nine years ago, I saw an elderly man whose overdressed wife was berating him in the street. She was dressed to the hilt and screaming at him for nothing. I actually went over and said to him that wife was an abusive person, and that the Senior centers had a ton of nice women who would appreciate dating a nice man like him. Wifey was so flaberrgasted and husbands' posture improved immediately. Amazingly, he then siad he was getting back in the car, that he was leaving her to be with her own anger and misery, and would NOT drive her home, and he would be taking a day alone to think about whether or not he wanted to stay married to her.

It is always the choice of the spouse and not mine. But it is hard taking a stand after years of marriage.

Also if spouse is patient, they can usually work through it and they will statistically stay together. I think more women close their eyes than men. Generally if a woman cheats the marriage is already over. Most men do not turn a blind eye.

But both people will have self esteem issues if he does.

I think it's garbage. No way would I tolerate a woman cheating on me just as I would expect her to not tolerate it from me. If he is that down on himself that he would allow something like that to go on, he has a serious problem. Think about this. How would you like to put your face somewhere on your wife where some other guy just had his d*ck just hours before? That just wouldn't be right. I couldn't deal with something like that.

Depends.

If the hubby has had a few affairs already, I say let her have a fling, no big deal.

If she had an affair first, drop her like a sack of potatoes.

If she slept with a black guy, punch her in the head.

Currently I am in the process of divorce.
But I tried to take her back, but I noticed she was ungreatful for me tolerating the emotional scarring she put me & our son through.

Plus things never felt the same afterwards...hint hint.....So it was really time to let her go!

& WHAT's with the " if she sleeps with a black guy comment above?......such ignorance!

The thing about this question, it goes both ways, but no one should close their eyes, open your eyes and move on. No one should have to live like this.

Fear of abandonment. Not healthy. Self depreciating.

It is natural for women to fool around. He does not need to turn a blind eye to it but he does need to learn to accept it.
