Bhakti Yoga means the path of attaining union with the Lord through intense love of God. It is not loving God for any selfish benefit but it is single minded devotion to God and total surrender to God.-

Union with God through unconditional love. The path of devotion, described in the Bhakti Sutras. Based on the constant rememberance and continual offering of love to God and meditation on God. see "mukteshwari" Aphorisms by swami muktananda.
