Ask him what's up what the deal is ask if he's got a girlfriend now that won't let him have friends. Ask him point blank. Tell him you were just planning on being friends anyway. Do what your gut says. You can still be friends but if you don't want to and you don't want to make it noticable then just slack off talking to him until you dont' talk anymore or stop suddenly he was sudden with you. I don't know what to tell you I would get the answers from him though and do what your gut is telling you

I would definetly recomend still talking to him. A lot of the time friendships are better in different situations. Like over the internet. Others are better in different ways, but I wouldn't give up a friend who you are really close with because of that.

I don't think he did wrong there. He might be saving you from something you haven't seen coming. Deleting him has to be your choice and nobody should help you decide that. Friends are golden but how well do you think you know this faceless person?

If you enjoy chatting with him why would you want to delete him. You can be just friends with a guy. There is nothing wrong with that.

im a guy and sometimes we do this, we say things that arent ment, or you gotta understand, guys need some space, some dont like the constant girly clinging, or the constant pressure to have sex or whatever( you might not do this to him, just a exampel) give him time, he'll come around
