I am...he isn't gone forever...he'll probably make an appearance here or there. Plus it will give the others (especially Katherine, Warrick, and Greg) a chance to pull more plot-lines on their own.
I'm not counting it out because William Petersen is moving back to Chicago to do theatre work...

The show will be good with or without Grissom. I admit I prefer the 'with' option, but the show has always had good story lines. William Peterson will be back on the show. He is taking a leave of absence to perform in a play. Anyone ever wonder about about his character and Gorja Fox's character? One minute they're sharing a room together, the next it's no real goodbye. They'd have to bring him back just to close that story! lol Anyway, the guy from Scream - Leiv Scriber -is going to take his place until he returns (at least that is what I've heard).

Yes, I will - the story lines and writing are still much better than most.
Petersen is performing "A Dublin Carol" in Providence, RI.
Since very few tv series follow a real timeline, 4 weeks could be a whole season.

He is gone for 2 episodes. He is doing a play out east someplace. His contract is up next season and he has done interviews saying he wants to do more plays so he may leave permanently next year but not now.

I'd watch it anyway, but I'm positive he'll be back.....they've got to get something real going between him and Sara, plus that new miniature last nite was way too creepy for Grissom not to be involved again.

He took some time off to do a play in Providence Rhode Island. He i scheduled to return.

I do think the show will survive. I am a bigger fan of NCIS with Mark Harmon now I was not sure what I would have done if he would have left like they made us think on the one episope.
