Only certain states and cities in the north have people with
accents. Its not like down south where everyone has a accent.
People from Maine speak different and New York has alot of
accents , especially Brooklyn, New York. Mass has their own
distinct accents and so do those from New Jersey. I do not think
that we have accents in Ct or New Hampshire , Vermont, Del, or
North Midwest or Northwest states.

Yes we do. I was told that the people of Northern West Virginia sound somewhat like the people of New York, however, if you go south in West Virginia you will hear southern accent. I believe we are divided when it comes to accents.

everyone has an accent you just don't realize it because most people hear the same accent in the people they hang out with. Every area has different accents just look at the differences in the way someone from Queens speaks compared to someone from the Upper East Side or Brooklynn. Same with Boston. Pittsburgers have their own vocabulary, (jimmies and yinz). People from the Philly area speak different from western PA. Pop rules, it's Italian Ice, and it's water not wadder.

Okay I'm from NH.
I do make fun of southern accents, but 1. US New Englanders make fun of EVERYTHING and 2. I really like it, it's fun to mimic.
The accent varies from place to place.
In Boston, car is said Caaaar...and doll is dall...
In Central NH, people say idear and arear, I had this problem as a kid=(
We have a different way of saying vowels, and we drop Rs a lot.
We say WICKED a TON!!!!
And I'm down to earth, and not snobby at all, I may be a little cold sometimes, but that's just me.

Well it all depends what northern state you're from. I'm from Connecticut and I don't believe I have an accent. But if you're from New York, New Jersey, or Boston, Mass., you are likely to have an accent.

North East US has a NY or Boston Accent. North West is more of a Cosmopolitan accent.

if you mean like people in chicago or the "midwest accent" then i can say that we dont have one. if you are trying to become an actor or just to talk like a regular person, then you would have the midwest accent which i think that people who live up here have no accents like people in the south.

"Caafee" for "coffee" and "wader" for "water". I like northern accents, plus they're not even that noticeable. What bothers me is the southerners' "ya'll" and "howdy"
