Makeup Brushes for Base

Concealer Brush: A concealer brush will help you get better results from your choice of concealer. You need to apply concealer to the exact area of imperfection and a concealer brush is the best way to do that.
Foundation Brush or Cosmetic Sponges: Using sponges or a brush is the best way to apply foundation without getting a heavy mask look. Sponges are great for a one-time application. But if you need to touch up your foundation multiple times a day, a foundation brush is the best option.
Powder Brush: A powder brush is usually a big fluffy brush that helps dab powder, either pressed or loose, all over your face. This is a better option then sponges because it won't absorb a lot of the product and allows for a light even coverage.
Makeup Brushes for Cheeks

Bronzer Brush: Now this may not be for everyone but for the few of us that use a bronzer you will need a brush different then the one for blush. If a powder brush hooked up with a blush brush and had children, it would be the perfect bronzer brush. So try and find one that has characteristics of the two.
Blush Brush: For perfect cheek color, look for a brush that has a dome shape. This way the color will go perfectly onto the center of the brush and the shorter bristles to the side will help blend the cheek color.
Makeup Brushes for Eyes

Highlight Brush: This brush is shaped to perfectly apply eye shadow onto the brow bone and across the lid.
Mid-tone Brush: A tapered brush that will apply the mid-tone directly to the crease.
Contour Brush: A stubbier version of the highlight brush, it is perfect for applying intense color along the lash line and into the crease.
Eyeliner Brush: An eyeliner brush is necessary if you use powder or cream eyeliner. Other then that, you can spend your money elsewhere.
Lash Comb: A metal lash comb will help separate your lashes even with the clumpiest mascara wand. Do not waste money on the plastic version...they just don't cut it.
Brow Brush: Perfect for shaping and grooming your brows. This brush will also help to with blending your eye brow pencil for a more natural look.
Makeup Brushes for Lips

Lip Brush: A soft, tapered, fine point brush that will apply lipstick or gloss and blend your lip liner to precision. Quality really counts on this brush...you will fall in love with a top-quality lip brush and never be able to apply lipstick from a tube again!
