Why are their russian bridal sites and are they for real?

I was dealing with an episode of insomnia recently and stumbled onto a russian dating site for russian girls looking for american men and i looked atsome of the girlsand there is no way these gals shoul have a hard time finding a date. So i did a search and came up with a hundreds of these sites. I wondered why they do it and if they were real.

Yeah these sites are for real, but some of the women aren't.

It is unfair to say ALL these women are scammers, but yes, you must be very wary. Many of them simply want to meet a foreign guy, and there is nothing wrong with that as many Western men also want to meet a foreign girl.

I have many friends in the Russian community in my home city and some of the russian women there met their husbands online and are now very very happy together in their new life.

At the same time, I also know of some guys who have been scammed for 1000s of $. So it's impossible to generalise, just evaluate each woman on her merit as you would do in a normal dating situation.

If you do decide to pursue this option then NEVER, under any circumstances, send any money, no matter what the reason. If they ask for any money, even a little, then they are probably a scammer.

I had the benefit of meeting my russian chick in Thailand during new year's eve on a beautiful island called Koh Samui .. so I knew she was real from the beginning :)

Because there's a lot of poverty and crime in the former USSR and women are looking for anyway out, even if it means marrying someone they don't know or find attractive
