iPod trouble???

Question

I just got an iPod and i got lime wire but when i download the songs they r not in my iPod. like i click the song i want and i click download and when it is done i expect it to be in my iPod. am i missing a step??

Have you downloaded ITunes? IPod's have to get their songs from ITunes.

You click download in iTunes? Is the iPod connected via Firewire? If your iPod is not connected to your computer, you can't dl the songs. The iPod is not like the Zune, where it's wireless (yet).

If you are connected via Firewire, make sure your computer acknowledges the presence of the iPod. This may require restarting the computer or reloading iTunes onto your computer.

apple.com should have more tips if you're still having trouble.

Open Itunes.

Click on File ------>Import

Find the folder where you placed all the songs you downloaded off of Limewire. Press Open and the song will be added to your Itunes and will automatically sync to your iPod.

you got itunes right just download the songs on itunes, hook up you ipod and all your songs will be on the ipod

You've got to use iTunes to put them on your iPod!
Open iTunes - go to FILE - ADD FILES TO LIBRARY and select the files from whatever folder Limewire has downloaded them to (usually called the Shared folder) and iTunes will then add them to your iPod when you update

you have to make sure that the song is in itunes, and if it is, and it still doesn't work, i don't know what to tell you, besides that downloading music illegally is bad.

drag the downloaded song and drag it to the itunes screen
