One guy said it could be the resistor, any ideas on how to fix this?

Your blower motor resistor pack has a burned out element or thermal fuse. It is located in the duct-work, usually close to the blower motor. Two screws hold it in place and there are wires connected to it... Unplug the wires, remove the resistor pack and replace.... Can be purchased from auto parts store...Good Luck...

It's a bad resistor near the fan control. The resistor controls the speed of the fan, but is bypassed in high, so the fan works then.

I think that guy meant to say it could be a relay. A relay is like a fuse and will be in the fuse box under the hood. When they fail, it can be sporadic, unlike a fuse, which just blows and is dead.

The best way to find out is to switch it out with another (identical) relay and see if it works.
