Okay just to clear up some confusion. I just read where Egypts leader said he was a martyr. I thought "HUH?" Yes, he was a very evil man and got his just what he had coming for him. Many more need to follow. For those who say "Yes", do you believe Tojo, and the Nazi's they hung were martyrs too?

To most people around he will fade into history just like Idi Amin, Pol Pot, Attilla, etc. To many Muslims he will be considered a martyr with birthday, deathday, and burial site turned into sacred ordeals. Whatever. A dead martyr is a heck of a lot better than a live one.

Unsure.I think in the end he was a martyr and realised what he did was wrong.I do not agree with the things he did with the suffering of innocent people.Real martyrs are girls like Joan of Arc who really did no wrong at all.

I dont think of a putting became mandatory. He killed human beings of a rival "team" and that's how the international works. the US had no enterprise with him, because of the fact he did not something to us. Bush invaded a sovereign u . s . and arrested its chief, he might desire to be positioned on trial for warfare crime. Saddam did what anybody might do. i'm not asserting he's a competent guy, reason he's not, yet it incredibly is how the international works and nicely, yeah, i think he became martyr.

In the Muslim world, the word: martyr seems to have its own religious connotation. It is not a matter that non-Muslim people to judge.

The U.S. captured him and Iraqi court judged him guilty in the name of JUSTICE, and executed this evil dictator. From the U.S. side, that should be enough.

He's dead. He is probably one of the worst dictators since Hitler. Maybe a martyr in his own mentally ill community.

no, what did he do to be a martyr? Why would you ask that? Maybe I'm missing some facts.

Sorry, but no. I think he finally understood what it was like to be in the shoes of many of his own victims. Not so easy.
