If you have or had any of the 3, could you please give me your opinion on them,, please no smart a$$ answers,, go somewhere else to leave that . Heres my choices All 3 are 12 amp, bagless uprights ::: . Hoover Widepath Foldaway,, , or Bissell Clearview 2 ,, or Shark Roadster with bottom emptying dust cup. I don't know anything about Sharks, but I like the fact that its a bottom emptying dust cup. and the filter can be rinsed off. I read on a question from here that their really loud, but I don't care, I just want the one that picks up the best. So please give me your opinions. Thanks!!!

Seriously, I would not recommend either of them. Why? Because they are old fashioned. I suggest you try the new Dyson upright which has no bags, filters etc. and cleans via circulating motion in the chamber. It is expensive but worth every dollar in my view.

I have had the best luck with a Hoover vacuum. My first one lasted almost 7 years before it really wouldn't pick up much. I have to do a lot of vacuuming since I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and it does a really good job picking up all the hair. Bissell is also a good brand to get but I would recommend staying away from Kirby. I have had nothing but problems when I had one. Not picking up pet hair and having to vacuum the same spot for what seemed like forever for it to pick up anything.

I am not really sure about Shark though. I haven't heard anything about them. I currently own a Hoover Bagless vacuum and just love it. I think if and when I need to get a new vacuum and choose to go with a different brand, I would have to get a Dyson.

DO NOT buy Shark products. They don't last. I had one of their cordless floor sweepers and it only lasted a few months and I paid $60 for it. Hoover has been around for decades so they are the best. My mom had a Hover vacuum for 20 years before it finally gave out and I have gone through 2 Bissel vacuums in the 5 years that I have been married and now have an Eureka floor sweeper and a Hoover vacuum.

I agree with TED, the Dyson would be your very best. I have the Hoover, bagless upright and my friend bought a Dyson the same time. After I used my new Hoover.....and was so excited because I thought it worked GREAT....she brought over her Dyson and I was VERY EMBARRASSED at how much more her's picked up. Her Dyson really is awesome, a little pricey but well worthed it.

I would have to say the Bissell. Lots of attachments and their right there. Hoover a very close second. Check Consumer Reports before purchase, they will let you know what's best for the buck.

Hoover's been around for a long time. I have one and am very happy with it. Kenmore stinks (in my experience), for the record.

And DO NOT GET A BAGLESS VACUUM.

I use consumerreports.org ALL THE TIME. The cheap subscription price pays for itself over and over and OVER.

Good luck.
