First things first you cut in by the time you reach the foul line. Also use that little square just outside the key as a little guide. When your at least 1-2 steps from that square outside the key start taking your two steps(not three, three steps would be traveling). Also if your not comfortable with just putting the ball in the net without hitting the rim or backboard I suggest using that square in the backboard.

The square on the backboard will help out a lot!!! So all you have to do is aim the ball to go on the corner of the backboard (The corner that is on the same side as you.

keep trying find a spot on the backboard and aim for it everytime,,
thats what i do and out of 20 i'd hit 20 if i was open

first relax,then start running towards the basket when you are like about 5 feet star taking your three steps then look at the box in the glass and just throw it gently not aplying too much force.you could use your figertips like DR j(julius erving)
Its may seem hard to do it,but thats the way i learned how to do layups.
