This is a question whose answer is multi-dimensional. There are great people everywhere (of course.)

That said, I think the nicest/friendliest people I've met overall have been in Texas, Alabama, and North Carolina.

I live in Mobile Alabama and people from the north ask me why people are so nice and that southern hospitality is alive and well here.

There are unfriendly and anti-socialites in all states and all towns. However, from a Pennsylvania born Alabama resident, the warmer states (southern) I believe have a friendlier atmosphere. The south is a happier place to be, and where there is happier people there is friendlier people.
From Texas to the Georgia eastern coast are on average more friendlier people than say....the Dakota's to New York.
However travelers don't beware, I've found the northerners to be nice and helpful on a recent trip to Manhattan.

I drive a truck in 38 states - Alabama, Mississippi, Tennesee are best but alas - the terms Southern Hospitality and Southern Gentleman are myths in Georgia, too many people from the East coast moving down there.

I would say North Carolina mainly because I met some ladies from N.C and they were very friendly and nice. They were visiting the city in Canada where I live. I am sure there are others as well.

I'm not able to travel much but I am prejudice. I believe that my home town has the friendliest people going. My home town is Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Remember "Almost Heaven West Virginia".

KrazyKat~I only make fun of the Texan/Southern accent because I want one SO SO SO badly...and I'll never have one *WEEPS*

I haven't travelled around much, but I would say that my homestate of New Hampshire has some of the nicest people, after you get over the fact we can be a little...rough, perhaps?

Overall I would have to say Texas.

In Alabama it depends what part. Some places are out of their way friendly (Blount County most of north Alabama). Talladega County - full of mean rednecks.

The whole south, of course. Because of our manners, customs, and southern hospitality. We like to have fun, party, and make everyone feel welcome. The south is laid back, slow paced and much more relaxing then the rest of the U.S. However, it depends on certain parts of the south, not all because of the prejudice and stuff.

properly u . s . of america is extremely stepped forward technologically. you extremely would desire to bypass there your self to work out. I stay in Australia and from adventure i can inform you u . s . of america is plenty extra useful. I hate how Australians use their flag as a symbolism of racism and hatred yet human beings who're slightly extra patriotic, they have faith in political patriosm quite then subjective perspectives which maximum Australians intend to do on "Australia day". 2. What I realised is that human beings are civil and not extroverted as what it would desire to look, u . s . of america's financial equipment is the biggest financial equipment interior the international and the different united states seems as much as that united states. I wager you Obama is extra iconic then whoever your top minister is. 3. all of us understand u . s . of america properties the 1st superb college interior the international (Harvard). So end being severe. easily there are the united statesand downs in u . s . of america yet extremely as quickly as I went to u . s . of america all and sundry grew to become into so friendly and that i hated how some Australians who bypass to u . s . of america they positioned on their united states's shirt and it looked like cheesy and disgusting. SO i admire u . s . of america!!!!
