Pony's can cost anywhere from say $100 to thousands. It all depends on the health, age, type and ability. Then it will cost at least $250 a month for upkeep, stable, food and ferrier. Thats if the pony doesn't get sick.

I'm assuming that this is your first pony/horse. I would suggest finding someone who is willing to let you lease or part lease a horse. This is where you would pay for a fraction of the bills and would be able to ride and play with the pony. This is still goign to be around $150 or so a month. If that is still too much, they just sign up for riding lessons. They can run you about $35 a lesson or so.

Sometimes it depends on looks or how desperate the people are on getting rid of it. It also depends on what it can do. It may do a variety of thinks (which usually makes them more expensive) or not as much things (less expensive). It can also depend on its attitude.

Remember you also must have money for food and and water.

Also the vet

cant afford the vet,
cant afford the pet!
