You need to weight the values as suggested by a_math_guy, but he provided a way to find a single weighted average value, not a weighted range. The solution is to find the weighted average of the endpoints of the ranges. For "8 people between 18 and 24", multiply 8*18=144 and 8*24=192.

# min max min' max'
8 18 24 144 192
6 25 30 150 180
6 31 35 186 210

There are 20 people total, so sum each of the min' and max' columns and divide by 20:

345/20=17.25 582/20=29.10

The average range is 17.25 to 29.10.

it's easy for example for the first one 8 people fall in the ranges of 18-24 years you add 18+24= 42 and divide by 2 because it is 2 years we compare so 42/2 = 21 the range is 21 if we would have 3 number or age to compare you would add tose 3 ages up and then divide the result by 3 so on..for 4 or 5

(8*midpoint between 18-24 + 6* mdpt between 25-30 + 6*mdpt between 31-35) / (8+6+6 people) so (8*21 +6*27.5 + 6*34) /22 = about 24.4
