I am reading tons of posts from Buffalo fans already claiming they have the cup but you have 6 of your wins by way of the shootout and 4 of your wins via OT (regular season is 4 on 4 playoffs is 5 on 5). The Stars had an inflated record because of the shootout last year and got CRUSHED in the first round. The Sabres have 29 wins that means over 1/3 of all the "wins" would not be wins in the OLD nhl and would not be wins in the playoffs. It will be interesting to see what happens to a shootout, finese open ice team in the 2nd and 3rd OT of a grueling playoff game where there is no shoot out and not nearly the open ice.

I expect an early exit for Buffalo. What are your thoughts?

i was thinking the same, the Stars of last year did practically the same as what the Sabres are doing. yes Miller is OK goalie but hes getting more credit then he really deserves, he has a team in front of him that can score and that's whats making Miller wins stats look good. but when it comes to playoff time the teams are faster and better then they where in the regular season and most Sabres fans don't realize this and might be very disappointed come playoff time, they wont be meeting slow teams like the Flyers last year that's for sure.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Nope a win is a win in your "not your grampas NHL". The rules are the rules and we haven't broken any getting our points. If you think we will suffer an early exit I think you ate too many paint chips as a kid. The Sabres are a Ruff TEAM and come push and shove in the playoffs we will go very far and maybe just maybe win that Stanley Cup.

check the standings below and tell me how they look...

A win is a win. Dallas got knocked out of the playoffs early for the same reason as always, Marty Turco choked as usual. Buffalo made it all the way to the seventh game of the Eastern conference final. They are just continuing where they left off last year. They will go far again this year.

I'm not claiming a cup yet, but if Miller can keep it together (not like the last game against Ottawa, ugh!) I see no reason for Buffalo to do worse in the playoffs than they did last year, seen as how they have virtually the same team. You must be a fan of someone not doing too well, huh? Tough luck for you.

The comments approximately Australia are loopy. They definitely have been initially a Gun Nut u . s . and protested whilst their government had to take them away. besides the shown fact that, they have not had a mass taking photos for the reason that 1992 as a result and the Australians (even people who protested) will now enable you comprehend they experience lots safer. as nicely, not all weapons have been taken away; human beings nevertheless have searching rifles and if a bad guy or boogie guy broke into your place, you will possibly nevertheless have the flexibility to do fairly some harm with a searching rifle. My factor - will we incredibly want each American to have get admission to to device weapons and sniper rifles? won't be able to we limit particular gun get admission to and basically make hand weapons and searching rifles available? only asserting.

People don't realize regular season success doesn't equal post-season success. Take this advice from a Sens fan!

Last time i checked an overtime win counts just as much as a normal win. They are the best team in the league, so quit crying.
