Sorry about the divorce. If the dress is a painful reminder for you, by all means, sell it in eBay or something and splurge on the profit by pampering yourself. If you want an idea to do something to it and you don't have any ill feelings towards the divorce, keep it in your attic or something. Someday, when you have daughters or granddaughters, dig it out and show it to them. By that time, it's an antique for them. Kinda like a family treasure.

You could donate it to Goodwill or another thrift store. I think that there are also some donation organizations that are specifically for wedding dresses. That way, someone without as much money can still have an awesome, beautiful wedding dress.

I loved the idea of what Rene Zellwinger did to her wedding dress. She had it dyed and cut into another dress. An evening gown. There is so much material in the gowns you could do almost anything with it. I like the idea of transforming the dress into something new. Kind of like what will happen to you.

Give it to a local thrift shop and make someone that size very happy with a dress they can afford, that's custom made. I'm sure someone will buy it and be very happy in their up coming wedding.

Goodwill or the Salvation Army. There are people out there that can't afford a dress. You'll feel good after doing it. Do as you wish with it.

give it to less fortunate women who are getting married but cannot afford a nice dress. I think you will feel good about yourself. there is a woman out there that is madly in love and getting married and wishing she had the dress to show how she is feeling.
Giving especially to someone less fortunate is the most satisfying feeling in the world.

Take it to goodwill or wear it for halloween. If you have a friend with a baby you could have a christening gown made out of it.
