ok...... the two main charecter don't sing! half the other cast doesn't sing, the plot is dumb and over used.... how many movies have two teenagers falling in love and you can tell they aren't singing and they are the best actors

Because it's the "new school" version of Grease. Did anyone but me notice that the beginning of HSM was almost exactly like the beginning of Grease? Then there was the whole two people from different social groups get together despite people trying to keep them apart. And the songs "We're All in This Together" and "We Go Together" reminded me of each other, just a little.
I like Grease, and HSM is okay- but not exactly original, as you stated.

There was a LOT of advertising and publicity that went into this movie. I've never seen so many things coming out after a Disney channel movie. My school is performing it, and we're the only school in my entire state to do so (first ones, too), and three days after the cast was picked, we had people calling us to buy as many as 15 tickets in advance. As of now (cast was picked 2 weeks ago), we're performing 4 nights and ALL of the seats are sold out.
I'm not too crazy about the movie, personally.. it's disney channel, do I need to say anymore? But it's just because a lot of kids can somehow relate to something in the story.. I don't know, I thought it was dumb. Seriously, how many high schools do you know that are going to break out in song in the middle of lunch............?........................... Exactly.

I know it is over played. They play it on Disney Channel atleast once a month! I guess it is ok.... but now I don't care cause everyone has been obsessing over it! It got old to me really fast. And the Lead girl (Vanessa Hudgens) can't really sing.....
