I asked a similar question a couple of weeks ago. Everyone assumed I had given up on life. I haven't, but I did go on disability this past year and there are a lot of physical things I can't do anymore. Plus I lost a lot of people last year. I wish I had never married. I did it twice & ended up being the bread-winner both times. I have a daughter which I don't regret. I had my tubes tied, which I don't regret. Now I'm answering the wrong question....Sorry.

Having regrets and wanting to change the past are different. Sure we all have regrets, like "what if I had gone to that school after all" but if you'd met your life partner where you ended up going would you actually change that part of your life? I can't really say what I'll regret doing or not doing. I try to do things that are for the betterment of myself and others, not harmful but things still happen that can't be controlled. Time is tricky in that way! A choice can seem really bad and you are kicking yourself for it one minute and then some thing really really good countacts it and you end up being glad that you did that. Life ... so unpredictable.
And I also think that 'me' has a point, you don't have to be old to regret but you can't change it so what's the point to dwelling on it? Live and learn, life is trial and error; and where we end up is in how we conduct our lives. I don't want to regret but I'm sure I will about something or another!

I don't think you have to reach old age to look back and have regrets....I sometimes do regret not getting more education when I was younger.

Well I am not too old yet but I do regret my deliberate actions that have hurt people in the past. I don't dwell on it and I have apologized etc. but I like to keep it is mind a little so that I am careful of my words and actions in the present.

I would regret that life is so short and I didn't have enough time to learn what I wanted from the world.

I would look back and regret marrying for convenience and not for love and regret not have travelled out of the U.S.
