Marriage should be between a man and a woman, I don't care how you look at it, this is what's right, hate it or love it.

I think this will change eventually....five or ten years ago nobody was talking about gay marriage so it's really a new concept for many people. In my experience many older people are freaked out by the idea of gay marriage but younger people don't care so much.

I personally believe it to be denying people thier right to happyness. People cannot chose whether they are born gay or not, and the government has no right to say that gay couples are diffrent from straight couples.
Here are some reasons gay couples should be allowed to wed-
Currently in the world, there is an over-population problem in many places, and many gay couples choose to adopt children
Because of the recent changes made to laws about gay couples, some of these people are having trouble raising their children
Gay people are equal in EVERY way to straight people, and it is in no way fair to allow some people to marry and others not to
For those who say being gay is against what God wanted - if God did not want gay people to be in the world, why are there so many of them? He must have created them.
Gay people help the unbalance between genders, and help fill many spots in society. Without them, we would be missing something special.
This is my personal opinion, and i am sorry if it offends anyone.

I am not against gay marriage but does a piece of paper mean that much I have been happily engaged for 5 years now and quite happy to stay that way until we can be bothered with the stress of wedding arrangements the piece of paper doesn't bother us as long as we are happy together and love each other that is the main thing.

I bet divorce lawyers would be for same sex marriage.
I read about these to elderly men sitting in bar talking. Both were widowers (wives had died). They were talkig about same sex marriage and the benefits they had when they had their wives. "What if we get married to each other? Look at the bennies we'll have again." They sat and pondered a bit, then the other one said, "Nah, let's just have another beer." So they did.

Eleven words say it all:
"The state does not belong in the bedrooms of the nation."
Said by former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau in 1969 when he legalized homosexuality and abortion. Legalizing same-sex marriage is only an extent of what he said and should be done in countries that do not allow it. Nuff said.

The government needs to get out of people's bedrooms, they are sounding like a bunch of perverts.

it's discriminating! I don't see any connection between the choise of (adult) sexual partners and the rights of human beings to marry. I live in holland, where it's legal. I can understand that the church has a problem with it, but the government should treat people equal.

I feel people should marry who the hell they want to how cares. It's when gay people want to have families is where the confusion lies. Straight couples can reproduce gay couples can't. Self explanatory if the world turned gay the Humans would all die off so that's where the difference of opinion really lies.

honestly i think it's ridiculous... i think that things need to change. it really doesn't make a difference towards them? what really would change? i think it would benefit both the government as it would get a little more respect from the community and it would help instill and promote longer lasting relationships in the community.
