Im planning to move out soon and will be renting a one-bedroom apartment outside Atlanta, Georgia. How much should I expect to pay per month for gas, water, etc...I really have no clue how much this stuff will cost and I am just looking for a ballpark estimate....Thanks!

If you know the electric/gas company you will be going through call them. They should be able to give you the amount of the average bill there. It is only an estimate as you may use more or less but at least it will give you an idea.

If you only shower once a month and read in the dark the bills shouldn't be too bad. No two individuals live the same lifestyle so it's hard to even ballpark what your bills will be. If you live by yourself and don't leave lights on or run a lot of water it should be quite low for a single bedroom dwelling. The real killer is the air conditioning.

It depends on your utility company and on how many people are in the apartment. If you are single and are living by yourself your water bill should be about $15 a month, your electricity should be about $60 a month and gas maybe about $25.00. The telephone depends on your service and cable depends on service but put the two together and it should be about $75.00 a month with internet.

All the above info is based on rates from Illinois.

hope this helps

It really depends on if water/sewer is included in your rent. Electric 40-100. I live in NH and we pay alot for heat but you may not have that problem living in GA.

Do you expect to be running the AC in the summer ?
Are they well insulated, will the winter heat bill be larger ?
Could be anywhere from $100 to $200 a month combined.
(or more if you need lots of AC in the summer)

Thats like me asking you how much does it cost for gas in my car to drive to work...ask the landlord what the prior tenants bills were
