Alright, what are those half-sweater things called. I know there must be a name for them but I can't think of it, and want to stop calling them "half-sweater things"!

thos 'half-sweater things' are crop sweaters. not crop tops, crop tops are just cropped shirts.

Shrugs. Although I do like the sound of "half-sweater things." Really much more descriptive. Shrugs sounds like you don't care if you wear it or not.

I've always called them "shrugs" because they cover the shoulder area. A variation on the shrug is a "bolero" when made of woven rather than knit material.

cropped sweater is what i say, and then i hold my hand up to my boob when the salesperson doesn't get it.
please don't wear them unless your tall.
if your torso is short, wearig a cropped sweater will make you even shorter.

i used to called them "half-sweater things" too (1 minute ago) but now thanks to all your wonderful answerer's i shall call them "crop-tops" or "shrugs"
