absolutely not!! Do not add this to the transmission.Brake fluid is a very erosive liquid to most rubber or neoprene seals and will cause them to breakdown. Kinda melting them.
The seals you have in your vehicles brake reservoir and the rest of the brake system have special seals that with stand the brake fluid.Besides that it will not mix with the transmission fluid and will cause the transmission to burn up.
They make a special product that you can buy at a local auto parts store to help with leaks in the tranny. But even though they say they will fix it, its only temporary. Best to have it looked at and repaired.

No, that's an old wives tale. Supposedly, brake fluid will lubricate and expand the seals and that will stop leaking. If the leak is from the oil pan, have the oil pan gasket replaced. Other than that, you could try some specific leak stopper from a parts house.

No you shouldn't add brake fluid to the transmission.Put some transx in it, it will also swell the seals and cleans the valve body from varnish deposits and free up sticking control valves. Its designed for an automatic transmission.

It might stop the leak when you install the new transmission you are going to need.
Try something like Lucas Transmission additive. I have a Sable that started having tranny problems 75k ago, and I have kept it alive with Lucas.
