First listen to her the next few days and see if there's anything she mentions that she wants or would be interested. Then try remember things she's told you she has wanted to do and you never had time for and do them. Or you can make a surprise party with her friends and decorate the house how she would like it. In the end whatever you do make sure you revolve the whole day around her and what she enjoys, even if you don't. Happy Birthday to her!

Have people bring things in 30s, like 30 candy bars, 30 flowers, 30 bottles of your beverage of choice, etc. Have everyone wear black or dress in the fashions of 30 years ago. Get a greatest hits of 1977 CD and shop around for one of those 30 years ago books.

does she like to dance? be spoiled?shop? take her out on the town,get her a trip to a day spa, a gift cert. to her favorite store, maybe concert tickets or theater tickets. just don't by appliances unless they are specificlly asked for.

Get her a relaxing spa package. (massage, facial, etc.) Then take her to romantic hotel..do you have Sybaris pool suites in your area?
