Just the relevant experience. The only reason to include the other stuff is to fill in the gaps, so you don't look like a hobo for 4 years in between two good positions.

You don't have to include every detail. It will give you room to expand during the interview process, a great way to focus on your skills and sell yourself to the employer. I would gear it towards the job you want, that will give you a better chance of getting the job. I wouldn't include the illness unless they ask about the lapse in employment, even then all you have to say is you were ill. Legally they can't ask you any more personal questions than that. Good luck!!

As far as employment history - don't go back more than ten years. If that 4 month job was during this time - it's a good idea to put it as a "temporary" position. They don't need to know why it was short term - unless they ask! Emphasize the jobs that relate to the one you're applying for and just touch on the ones that don't.

Employers usually only want to hear about relevant experience. The other stuff - including hobbies, etc., is just static to them. You don't legally have to mention the job you only had for 4 months, your age, marital status, or ethnicity - but you shouldn't leave off jobs the company can find out about anyway, and that were relevant to the job they have available.

Experience related to the job is important. I would not bring up the issue of illness in your resume. Save this for the interview.

I don't include all info nor do I put down 4 month employment. Though my resume hasn't landed me a job in 10 years, so maybe I am not the best person to answer.

No, never include that you only had a job for 4 months due to illness...that is "none of their business"...BECAUSE THEY WOULD THINK YOU COULD BE SICK AGAIN...so just forget about it.....employers are trickey regarding being sick...and do not tell anyone AT WORK...because it could get around......some employers want to know...BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES TELL THEM.....BY THE WAY, IF THEY ASKED YOU SOMETHING PERSONAL...JUST SAY.."i'm sorry, but that is personal.."...
