Who do you think benefits from supermarkets?

how does society, consumers, workers benefit from them? have they realised that supermarkets are bad because it doesn't form the community that there used to be when we used to go to independent stores before?

most of us do. We get to shop in clean, comfortable surroundings, everything (almost) under one roof. Over here, we have some independent stores which are not as well stocked, people go mostly because they are short of an item and stock turnover is slow, hence less fresh.

They aren't bad, they centralize shopping, making transportation for both logistics and consumers more efficient.

People are still free to have their independant specialty shops.
