everyone feels sorry for the illegals who did a few years ago in a truck and they have the driver on trial. THey want to give him the death penalty. I think he should be let out. The people that died were coming into the country illegally and when you use a shady procedure to break the law you deserve what happens to you, don't you? If a drug addict got ripped off by a drug dealer, he wouldn't be able to do anything because he wasn't supposed to be buying drugs to begin with. Why can't people accept that they are punished for doing wrong?

It baffles me to this day! That's why I'm really glad life insurance policies have an illegal act clause. There was a shooting between the police and this guy who mugged an old lady recently and his family attempted to sue the police department for using excessive force. If he wouldn't have mugged an elderly person(she was 82) then they wouldn't have kicked his butt the way they dig. To make matters worse, he hit her in the head AFTER he took her purse. She had a huge purple knot on her head! I'm no vigilante but I do not feel sorry for people who violate the law. I have to follow them (laws) so why not them? What makes criminals think they are better than the rest of the tax payers around here? I would love to sit on my butt all day long, eat waffles with lots of butter, and steal from the rich and give to the poor; however, I'm way to hot to go to jail and I go to work everyday to earn a living because that's what adults do.

For me, It is my compassionate heart.
IF people do wrong, I agree, they then pay the consequences. #1 The truck driver knew he was carrying illegals,#2 he left them there in that ungodly heat to suffer and die. And you say, Let him out. How low could he stoop ? On the other hand the illegals are looking for a better life at all cost but not willing to do it legally. I am where all this trial is going on. I feel for all sides, but the laws must be upheld. that does not mean that I don't still feel for the families and yes even the truck driver. WHY ? because I see a wasted life and it didn't have to be.
Blessings to all concerned. Happy New Year to you !!

You're sort of advocating the death penalty for crossing a border illegally. Too harsh. I very much like the idea of legally punishing each and every one of the illegal aliens, but within reason. And I really don't like the people who want to make it EASIER to cross into the US illegally.

I think the very sovereignty of my nation is threatened. But that still doesn't mean it's okay to kill any individual illegal alien.

There's punishment, and then there's punishment.

It all boils down to the fact that someone died. Even though the circumstances are not always black and white, the person that died is NEVER coming back and the person responsible should be held accountable. Killing is never ok. War is a little different, but when you get down to the basics, this is the only life we'll ever have and it is the most priceless thing to take away. People need to be accountable for their actions.

I am against illegal immigration, but those people did not deserve to be cooked in a sealed trailer. The driver SHOULD get the death penalty for what he did.

please remember, the driver broke the law also, an must face justice. but not let out. they all broke the law.they died a horrable death in that hot truck. money was the cause.when someone leaves their children in a hot car, are they not punished? immigrents or not, life is given from god. its precious. i agree that illigal immigrents, must go by the laws of the united states in entering our country, they must become citizns. so the driver must be punished also because he to, is a lawbreaker.

Probably a chemical outside of yourself. That's not normal. Plus, down to academic circles societal and governmental trends over the last thirty years in particular seem to have been dedicated to promoting a deviant friendly culture and a criminal encouraging mindset. Not me!!! I love it when I read about people who die while committing crimes. Poetic justice! The best one I heard of is this man with asthma trying to rape a woman. She sprayed him in the face with pepper spray and got away. The man had an asthma attack and died at the scene. I LOVE IT!!!

Being humans, we often feel the pain of evils too.
After all if someone is devil... we cant change ourselves to behave like devils.
