Hi, you can find the original game titles for gba on the website of Nintendo http://www.nintendo.com/gamelist?start=1&oord=asc&osort=title&sort=&cmd=&toggle=&query=pokemon&tf=&cf=&sf=Game+Boy+Advance&ef=&rf=&pf=&mf=&af=&vf=&nf= as you can see the game isn't in the list so I would say it's fake. Their is a Pokemon Pearl version but that one isn't released (around 4/2007) and is for the nintendo ds

Uh, I think your friend bought a fake game. There is no "Pokemon Perla Version" for the GBA. However, there is a Pokemon Pearl Version for Nintendo DS.

I am having trouble deciphering what you were attempting to convey in this question.

I believe you are asking about Pearl. Which is only for the Nintendo DS, not the GBA.

The originals are Red and Blue for the original Gameboy. The remakes are Fire Red and Leaf Green for the GBA.
