probably because not many people use the Mac for playing games.

1. Economical reasons (or greed!?) Macs tend to be lower in numbers, and developers want to make games that will sell lots in the market. There are literally millions of PCs in the world that outnumber the Mac, and publishers and developers would rather make a fast buck.

2. People owning Macs tend to use them mainly for software such as Quark Xpress and Adobe Photoshop, they are mainly creative people who use their systems for purely being creative, and so their may not be the massive demand from an already small userbase for such games.

3. Consoles are getting cheaper and cheaper, and are saturating the marketplace. I would really recommend a console, becuase like Macs, they are easy to use and tend to be very stable and fun. Pc owners have to mess with all sorts of video settings and incompatibilities before a game will neccasarily even work. For instance, a second hand PS2 in the UK is quite cheap (£80) and San Adreas can be had for around £15.

4. Now Apple have moved to Intel proccesors, there is a slightly higher chance that publishers might publish games on them, but Id just go for the console option.

All the best

Most people use PCs and so there are many more people programming for PCs. This trend goes back all the way to the days of DOS (when Macs were still unborn). Long Live DOS!! Long Live Gorf!!! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!!!......(only old gamers will get that last part).
