Sight unseen, why would anyone give you something for free when they could sell it for hundreds of dollars? That smells like a gyp from a mile away.

It's real, but it's going to take a lot of work and probably cost you quite a few friends in the process.

Basically, this is how it works. Say I'm X, and I'm trying to get people to buy a product call XSquare, and you're the website that's giving out free PS3 or Wii. So, I'll come to you and say I'll give you 500 bucks if you can get 10 customers to visit my site and sign up to buy my product. You want that 500 bucks, so now you need to find 10 customers, so the best way to do it is to give away a free Wii to someone, and in return for the Wii, he has to sign up to buy my product and get 9 of his friends to also sign up to buy my product. When I get the 10 customers that's referred by you, I'll give you the 500 bucks. With that 500 bucks, you spend 250 to get a Wii to give to the guy, but you made a 260 dollar profit.

So, it does work, but it takes a lot of work to get the required # of people to sign up and buy the products. It's really not worth it because of the effort you have to put into it.

It's all fake. First if you do those games (make the field goal win a ps3.) you will always win. As soon you click on it it takes you to some site that gives you countless ammount of spywear. If you actually fill out the sheets they want you to they will steal your identity. Finally all of those adds have a * next to them.

Those adds are merely a way for a third party company to collect information about you to sell to other companies for direct marketing purposes. Never give your email or phone number out especially your cell phone #. You'll be text hundreds of adds on your phone if you do.

Probably best not to try them... BUT, the magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly once did one for an Xbox 360. They said it took a few weeks and countless surveys to answer, but they did end up getting the Xbox. HOWEVER: make sure you cancel any subscriptions you may make to any services.
