I know of a ton of good record companies (like Toucans Cove, Hollywood, and Robbins Nest) but i have NO clue how to jump start my career. I know this is what i wanna do in life!

Hmm. Girl, a chance to become a singer comes to about 1 in 1,000,000 people. There is a very good chance you aren't this one. Millions of teenage girls want to be a superstar, but it almost never happens. Rags to riches stories rarely happen. I suggest Getting a webcam and make videos of yourself singing, then post them on youtube. Atleast that way you can be applauded by people you don't know. And who knows, you might actually get noticed by some record deal...

The one guy was right in saying that you might be a little young, but who knows? Research this and talk with your mom about it, and you can both find talent auditions in your area. Get to know as many people as you can -- the more people you know, the more opportunities you'll have. Even if the people you know are not in the music field, they will give you jobs that not only will pay you money but give you experience. And who knows? Maybe someone who can get you a record deal will be at one of those jobs.
Check into those record companies and figure out how to submit a demo, as well. And always ask for criticism. It might sting at first, but it will help you get better. I should know -- I should have listened to criticism right out of the box!
And lastly, never give up. A lot of people will say you can't do it, but just keep trying, keep practicing, and keep your goal in sight. It's your dream, and nobody can take it from you unless you let them.

You have to make a career first. You need to join a band, or get making recordings on your own. Play gigs, enter competitions. There are a hundred thousand singers out there who would like to get signed, you have to give the record companies a reason to notice you. If you're big enough they'll take an interest - if not then they'll just think you're just another wannabe.

wait! i know making a career in music and making millions and what not sounds tempting but is that what u really want? do u love being a singer? cause if you like music you shouldnt try making a career out of it cause it the long run it will kill your love of music. you will find yourself being someone your not just so the record companies will keep paying you to keep putting out records.

no matter what level of talent you posess (if you posess any) you will be walked all over because of your age.
