By this I mean what item have you purchased at an insanely low price that in turn ended up being worth (in the literal sence, e.g. as in price) a great deal more than what you paid for it?
To date my best steal was a pair of Lucky Brand jeans, which I purchased, in perfect condition, for 18 dollars at a used clothing store. I had no idea at the time how much they worth (averaging 120+ a pair).
Also, it need not be a clothing item, I was at a loss as to what catagory to put this question under, so I just opted for what Yahoo picked for me.

I got this amazing blazer off ebay before that is absolutely amazing. It has the cutest fit ever and gets compliments everywhere I go.
I got it for 20 dollars. When I got it in the mail, the tag it had on it, from the strore read $180 and some odd cents. My jaw dropped.

I too got $18 lucky jeans at Crossraods, a used store. I also got a new pair of 4 long skinny black jeans at Old Navy for $1.79. Beat that!

I saw this $1000 Marc Jacobs coat at Bloomingdales last year and fell completly in love with it but couldn't afford to spend that much money on a coat. This year I stummbled upon it in the clearence section of TJMAXX when heading towards the picture frame section. The price...$30.00

i really dont shop alot, but i went to tjmax once and found levis loose carpenter jeans, 32x30...it fitted me great...but to bad i tore it...but it was okay cause i paid 3.00 dollars
