Just curious. I was on way way to lunch today and one ran out into the road. Of course I braked! I wouldn't want to hurt anything!
I am asking b/c my husband says I am going to cause an accident one day b/c I brake for them. So tell me ... who else does.

I do. Once, I even went on the other side of the road (when it was completely clear of course), but the crazy little thing turned around and ran underneath my tires. I felt bad, but I tried my best for it....

Tell your husband, the squirrel killer to relax.... you are not going to cause any accident....
Squirrels are one of natures miracles....
They are to be loved, protected & admired!
The way they care for their nuts is legendary....
We all could learn a little something from squirrels...

Yes....I brake for anything in the road.....the thought of hitting a poor animal just makes me wanna cry.....sorry...big animal lover..

when driving 18 wheels and 80,000 lbs of weight pushing you-- that poor squirrel is gonna be centerline bovine-- never ditch your rig for a furry squirrel-- too costly-- when in doubt-- lay on the horn

I do. Though I'm not really sure why, Think about it, most times, by the time you brake they're already out of the street. They do get out the way.They're not deer...

My Dad has gotten on to me many times, for slamming on my break to keep from hitting animals. I can't help it.
