It is called "soccer" in Australia where it is a popular but minor sport. Football or footy is Australian football although some Rugby League enthusiasts claim the word as well. During and since the World Cup there has been an attempt in the media to call soccer "football" but most people call it "soccer".

It's pretty hard to make a move on a girl while on a boat. Mostly, if she's athletic, she will feel comfy and happy already. If she's not, the best move you could make would be to know something about boats and look confident and protective of her, without overdoing it. So she feel's like you dont care she doesen't know too much about boats, you just like her and are being sweet with her. Also, if the sun is rising or comming down, you could hug her and tell her how special that day was with her next to you. Ofcourse, if the day was aweful, don't say that. She will know you are faking it. Mostly, whatever you do, do it with care and feeling. Not fake. Women know. If you click you click. Don't force it, if she doesent have fun with you, it might not be your fault. Be a gentleman. ;) Kisses from Greece.

You're sadly mistaken! The word 'soccer' is short for 'association football' - and it was coined in the UK!
Here's an excerpt from a page about word origins;
"Soccer is an abbreviation for Association Football. The Football Association was formed in London in October 1863 when representatives of eleven clubs and schools met in an attempt to standardize the rules of the game. One of the rules prohibited the carrying of the ball, a rule that would lead to the Rugby-orientated clubs leaving the Association several months later. The name Association Football was coined to distinguish it from Rugby.
By 1889, the abbreviation socca' was in use, and the spelling soccer had made its appearance by 1895."
I made one minor spelling alteration in that statement, to change an American spelt word into an English spelt word!

Well - I don't know about your question, but you got some serious issues. Sounds like you may have headed a few goal posts instead of the ball - lol
Good Luck!!!

It is out culture. You are very ethno-centric. Why should we change out culture to fit your wants and needs. You need to open up your mind. Maybe you should go back to speaking latin, becuase elgish is a derivitive from latin.

Why do only bigoted morons and people who have an ignorant, stunted vocabulary use "gay" as a generic pejorative adjective?
What do you propose we call "American Football," which is a much bigger sport in the US?
